1. About Partenza

Partenza is a professional translation service for U.S. civil registration records (vital records) from English into Italian, operated by Rafael Cecilio. Contact: rafael@partenza.co.

Vital records — birth, marriage, death, and civil union certificates — are among the most sensitive documents you own. This policy explains precisely how Partenza collects, uses, and protects your information and documents.

2. Data We Collect

When you submit the quote form, Partenza collects:

• Full name
• Email address
• Italian consulate destination
• Documents submitted (certificates in PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, or DOCX)
• Optional notes you provide

Partenza does not collect payment data. All payments are processed directly by Stripe on their own hosted page — Partenza never receives, stores, or accesses your card or banking details.

3. How Partenza Uses Your Data

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Review your documents and provide the requested translation quote
• Communicate with you throughout the translation process
• Deliver the completed translation by email
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or profiling. We do not perform automated decision-making based on your personal data.

4. Document Security

Your vital records are handled with strict security controls throughout the entire process.

• All files are transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secure, access-restricted cloud infrastructure
• Access to your documents is limited exclusively to the translator working on your project
• Download links are cryptographically signed and expire automatically after 30 days
• Your documents are automatically and permanently deleted 90 days after the service is completed

5. Analytics & Tracking

Partenza uses the following tools to understand site usage and improve the service.

• Google Analytics 4: Partenza measures pageview counts, traffic sources, and site interactions (button clicks, scroll depth, form engagement). IP addresses are anonymized before reaching Google. Partenza does not link analytics data to your name, email, or documents. Google's Privacy Policy →

Analytics data is used exclusively to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the service. It has no access to your submitted documents, form inputs, or personal identity.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are handled exclusively by Stripe, a globally trusted payment processor. Partenza does not process, store, or have access to your card or banking information.

• When you pay, you transact directly on Stripe's secure hosted payment page
• Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider — the highest level of payment security certification, audited annually
• Stripe collects and retains payment data (name, billing address, card details, device data) under its own Privacy Policy
• Stripe retains transaction records for a minimum of 5 years to comply with financial regulations

7. Data Sharing

Partenza does not sell, rent, or share your personal data or documents with third parties for commercial purposes.

Partenza shares limited data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the service:

• Cloud storage provider — document storage (access-controlled infrastructure)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (your email address only, for quote and delivery communications)
• Stripe — payment processing (see Section 6)
• Google Analytics 4 — pageview and site interaction data, IP anonymized

Partenza may disclose your information if required by applicable law, court order, or lawful government request — and only to the minimum extent legally required.

8. Data Retention

Partenza retains different types of data for different periods:

• Submitted documents: permanently deleted 90 days after service completion
• Contact information (name, email): retained for up to 2 years for service-related follow-up
• Transaction references: anonymous payment records provided by Stripe only — no card or banking details retained by Partenza
• Analytics data: aggregated and anonymous — no personal identifiers are retained

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. We will fulfill verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply.

9. Your Rights

Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access — request a copy of the personal data Partenza holds about you
• Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Right to deletion — request permanent deletion of your personal data
• Right to portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to object — object to processing in certain circumstances
• Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time

10. Cookies & Local Storage

This site uses cookies for analytics purposes:

• cfz_google-analytics_v4 — Analytics cookie managed by our analytics provider. Used to distinguish unique visitors and maintain session state. Expires after 2 years.

Your theme preference (light/dark) is saved in localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to Partenza or any third party.

11. Children's Privacy

Partenza's services are intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. Partenza does not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Note: Partenza may translate vital records that reference minors — for example, a birth certificate submitted by a parent. In those cases, the adult client is the data subject for the purposes of this policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

Partenza may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
